Better Homes & Gardens Magazine Family Cook-Off

Held in New York in August, 2006, this contest featured five American families who came together to prepare their favorite family holiday meal. The winning family, who demonstrated the best team cooking skills as well as the tastiest menu, won a cash prize. NTA reviewed all essay and recipe entries and handled all logistics involved in production of the Cook-Off.

44th, 45th, 46th and 47th National Chicken Cooking Contests

These national consumer cooking competitions featured 51 contestants, one from each state and D.C., at a three-day event, competing for grand prizes of up to $100,000 for the best chicken recipe. Each was also attended by about 75 nationally prominent food writers, representing major consumer magazines, national daily newspapers and prominent food television shows. These Contests, sponsored by the National Chicken Council and the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, were held in Sacramento, Baltimore, Charlotte and Birmingham.

NTA executed all conceptual and logistical aspects of each of these biennial events.

Press Conferences

In September 2000, NTA produced a Washington, D.C. press conference for the American Diabetes Association, featuring singer Gladys Knight. The press conference announced and honored ten Americans who are living with and have overcome diabetes.

Cooking with Beer Contest
The first Cooking with Beer Contest, sponsored by the National Beer Wholesalers Association, was held in New York in November, 2006, and featured ten contestants competing for a prize of a trip for two to Cancun. All recipes featured various styles of beer as a main flavoring ingredient. NTA handled all aspects of the development and production of this Contest, which resulted in numerous media stories on the recipes and how to flavor recipes with beer.
